NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with three criminal charges following an incident in Mapleton Township.
On August 20, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Wellington OPP responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Drayton.
As a result of the investigation, a 65-year-old Drayton resident has been charged with the following:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault
- Utter threats – cause death or bodily harm
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
