GUELPH – Guelph Police is investigating after receiving a report of a robbery that took place at a business near the intersection of Stone Road and Scottsdale Drive on Wednesday evening.
At around 6pm, police say five male subjects entered the business, where they proceeded to take products off the shelves and place them in reusable grocery bags. After several minutes, the five males proceeded to exit the business when a customer attempted to stop one of them.
Police say the male proceeded to discharge what is believed to be a pepper spray-type substance at the customer. A small altercation took place before the male was able to exit the store, to an awaiting White Van.
The 5 male subjects were all described as South Asian and wearing:
Male 1 – Black baseball hat, Black pants, purple short-sleeve t-shirt, stainless steel bracelet in right hand.
Male 2 – Black baseball hat with red marks, black backpack, white t-shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
Male 3 – Red baseball hat, black duffle bag, black t-shirt & black pants, black shoes. Hunchback posture.
Male 4 – Black baseball hat, black t-shirt & black shorts, black Nike flip flops, long black hair, and black long beard.
Male 5 – Green bucket hat, trimmed black beard, black and white plaid shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
