MOUNT FOREST – Three young Conn residents have made a donation to the Mount Forest outdoor pool fundraising campaign.
In a media release, the Township of Wellington North says over the summer, three young Conn residents – Erinn, Robin, and Teddy Weber built and operated a lemonade stand over the weekend, and donated the proceeds from their sales to the new Mount Forest outdoor pool fundraising campaign.
The decision was made to run the lemonade stand on Saturday, August 23 at the corner of Wellington Road 6 (Seven Bridges Road) and Highway 89.
“With the help of some friends and family promoting the sale, as well as providing some baked goods to sell along with the lemonade, the day was a success,” the media release said.
In total $500 was raised, and on Tuesday, Erinn, Robin, and Teddy presented their donation to the Committee, all of which was raised from the sale of goods at the stand that day.
“On behalf of the Committee, I would like to thank Erinn, Robin and Teddy for their amazing donation of $500 toward the new Mount Forest pool,” said Sherry Burke, chair of the Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee. “Their hard work in building and operating this lemonade stand is commendable, and for them to donate the proceeds of their hard work to the new pool is amazing. Thank you for supporting our project and thank you to everyone in the community who supported these youngsters in their fundraiser.”
