NEWS RELEASE TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH
PUSLINCH – The Township is excited to launch its annual community engagement survey regarding the Township’s 2026 Proposed User Fees and Charges on EngagePuslinch.ca to gain citizen feedback.
Each year, as the first part of the annual budget process, the Township reviews its user fees and charges for services offered to the community. In order to provide quality services and programs, the Township depends on revenue from property taxes and user fees and charges. User fees and charges are an essential component of the Township’s budget, helping to fund services that directly benefit individuals and organizations. Examples of some of the services funded in part or whole by user fees include: Use of Recreational Facilities, Building Permits, Planning and Development Applications, Dog and Kennel Licensing, Lottery Licensing, and Open Air Burn Permits.
“Input from our residents is essential in helping Council make fair and informed decisions,” said Mayor Seeley. “User fees play an important role in balancing the Township’s budget and ensuring services are funded sustainably. I encourage everyone to take part in this survey and let Council know your perspectives as we plan for the future.”
Residents can participate in the User Fees and Charges Engagement Survey on EngagePuslinch.ca from August 29, 2025 until September 24, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
In addition, a Public Information Meeting will be held on September 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office (7404 Wellington Rd 34) and through electronic participation via Zoom. This meeting provides another opportunity for residents to share comments directly with Council prior to final approval of the 2026 User Fees and Charges.
The Township thanks all participants for contributing to this important first step in the 2026 Budget process.
