MAPLETON – One person has died as a result of a two motor-vehicle collision within Mapleton Township, Wellington County.
On Thursday September 11, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local emergency services were called to a serious two motor-vehicle collision on Third Line, just outside of Glen Allan within Mapleton Township.
Upon arrival, emergency services located a two motor-vehicle collision on Third Line, involving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and one pickup truck. As a result of the collision, a 59-year-old from Mapleton Township, was pronounced deceased at scene. The other driver was not injured.
Third Line was closed between Wellington Road 12 and Sideroad 18 within Mapleton Township, but as since been reopened.
The Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team is assisting the Wellington County OPP with the investigation, and the office of the Chief Coroner was notified.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
