GUELPH – A Guelph man is charged with careless driving after a collision Tuesday morning, which saw his SUV crushed by a dump truck.
Just after 11am, emergency services were called to a collision at Victoria Road South and Arkell Road.
Guelph Police say the investigation revealed an eastbound SUV entered the intersection on a red light and was struck by a northbound dump truck.
Police say the impact caused both vehicles to leave the road and come to rest in a ditch. Debris from the collision struck a third vehicle, damaging the windshield.

Minor injuries were reported, with neither of the occupants requiring medical assistance.
