NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON OPP
PUSLINCH – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Brampton resident stemming from a traffic stop.
On September 23, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were conducting a proactive traffic enforcement initiative when a motor vehicle was observed going at a high rate of speed, to which a traffic stop was conducted on Victoria Road within Puslinch Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old of Brampton, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:
- Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted limit
- Driver fail to surrender licence
- Drive while under suspension (two counts)
- Fail to have insurance card
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
