GUELPH – A Brampton man faces assault and dangerous driving charges after another man was repeatedly hit by a car during a disturbance in Guelph.
On Friday afternoon, police were called to the area of Glasgow Street North and Essex Street.
Investigation revealed a man had left a house with property that didn’t belong to him.
Police say another man tried to stop him and was twice struck by the subject’s car. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. The parties are known to each other.
On Sunday, a 30-year-old Brampton man was arrested for assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, assault, and theft under $5,000.
The male was held for a bail hearing on Monday.
