ABOYNE – If you pass the Wellington County Museum and Archives today, you may notice that the Bell Tower has been taken down today – temporarily – for restoration work.
The bell tower, a signature feature of this National Historic Site was used back in the days of the keep the schedules of inmates who once lived in the House of Industry and Refuge.
The Bell Tower will be ready and reinstalled for the Remembrance Day Ceremony taking place at the museum on November 5th.
