GUELPH – Guelph Police is investigating after more than $70,000 in cash and jewelry was stolen during a home break-in on Wednesday.
Shortly before 2pm, police say a resident near Willow Road and Elmira Road North went home after receiving a notification about movement on his security cameras.
The homeowner discovered a window at the rear of the residence had been shattered.
A quantity of cash and expensive items, including a Rolex watch, various other jewelry, and designer bags, were missing.
A suspect captured on security video was described as a white or Asian male, 25 to 35 years with a medium build and short hair.
Police say he was wearing a grey hoodie, grey sweatpants with a black zipper on the pocket, a blue and white baseball cap, grey or black Nike running shoes, a black backpack, and a blue medical mask.
