Centre Wellington council has received an update on a revised plan to add office space at the Community Sportsplex after the original renovation was cancelled due to budget constraints.
In 2024, the township approved $160,000 to convert part of the weight room into three offices, but contractor bids exceeded the budget. Staff have since re-scoped the project to stay within the original funding by using existing space inside the building.
Boardroom B, already used as overflow workspace, will be retrofitted into two offices. Three touchdown desks will be added, and the customer service desk will be reconfigured to improve safety, reduce noise and create room for an additional workspace.
