PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP- Two individuals have been arrested stemming from a traffic stop, with a imitation firearm seized at the scene.
On October 15, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, when a traffic stop was initiated on Wellington Road 35 within Puslinch Township.
As a result of the investigation:
The driver, a 34-year-old of Puslinch Township was arrested and charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
Driving while under suspension (two counts)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
Additionally, the passenger, a 54-year-old of Kitchener was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:
Possession of imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 18, 2025.
