ELORA – Four new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed at Bissell Park in Elora.
In an email to The Grand at 101 Kendra Martin, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Communications says the township has officially commissioned the new charging stations at Bissell Park, adding to existing EV charging network within the township that is already being fully utilized.
Funded in part through the provincial ChargeON grant program, the township says the project is part of Centre Wellington’s broader strategic commitment to climate change mitigation strategies which support sustainable transportation and active transit networks.
Martin says while site restoration is still underway, the chargers are now fully operational and available for public use.
