CENTRE WELLINGTON- As daylight savings time comes to an end this Sunday, Centre Wellington Fire Rescue reminds us of the importance of working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Christopher Paluch, Fire prevention officer, says smoke alarms should be tested monthly.
Paluch says it is important to replace smoke alarms if they are 10 years old.
He says there is no better time to do that when we fall back one hour this weekend.
Meanwhile, as we head into the colder months, Paluch has a few other tips.
The time change will happen this Sunday at 2 am when clocks are set back to 1 am.
