NEWS RELEASE TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON
CENTRE WELLINGTON – Chief Administrative Officer Dan Wilson is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Gilmore as the new Managing Director of Community Services, effective November 3, 2025. Adam succeeds Pat Newson, who will be retiring at the end of the year after seven years of dedicated service to the Township.
Mr. Gilmore brings more than 18 years of experience in municipal management and engineering to this senior leadership role, including nearly five years with the Township as Manager of Engineering. His extensive background includes the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, strategic organizational planning, and a strong commitment to customer service and community development.
“We are thrilled to welcome Adam to this new position,” said Dan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer of the Township. “His proven leadership, collaborative approach, and deep understanding of municipal operations make him exceptionally well-suited to guide our Community Services portfolio as we continue to grow and evolve.”
Mr. Gilmore holds a Master of Applied Science in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Throughout his career, he has led numerous capital infrastructure initiatives, including the development of the Township’s new Operations Centre. He also played a key role in the creation and implementation of the Township’s 2023–2026 Strategic Plan and related annual business plans.

Recognized for his strong communication skills, strategic mindset, and ability to foster high-performing teams, Mr. Gilmore is committed to continuous improvement and to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of residents and stakeholders across the community.
As Managing Director of Community Services, Mr. Gilmore will oversee a wide range of divisions and initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life in Centre Wellington, including recreation facilities, recreation programming, parks, township buildings, and community development.
