The Centre Wellington Food Bank’s Share the Care Annual Holiday Initiative is back, helping local families experience the joy of the season. The program offers two ways to give — the Angel Program, where donors sponsor a family by providing gift cards so parents can purchase special gifts for their children, and Home the Gnome, which invites the community to donate gift cards at participating local businesses.
Last year, Share the Care helped brighten the holidays for more than 210 local children. This year’s Gnome Homes include The Gorge Country Kitchen, The Grand 101, Canadian Tire, M&M Meats, and several Fergus and Belwood businesses.
Gift cards for stores like Walmart, Giant Tiger, local restaurants, and toy shops are especially welcome. Donations are being accepted until December 5th.
