NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver from Markham is facing a refusal charge after entering a reduce impaired driving everywhere (RIDE) program in Morriston.
On November 7, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit were conducting a RIDE program on Queen Street in Morriston.
A vehicle entered the RIDE program and subsequently underwent roadside screening.
As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old from Markham is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 18, 2025.
