CENTRE WELLINGTON – Tobogganing season isn’t far away.
As the Township of Centre Wellington prepares local toboggan hills at area parks, there have been reports of damage to or the removal of some safety measures.
Those measures include fencing, stakes, and straw bales to help everyone have fun safely.
In a post to social media Tuesday, the township says, “Unfortunately, these safety measures have been repeatedly damaged or moved over the past few days. If this continues, we may have no choice but to close the hills permanently to ensure everyone’s safety.”
The township is asking everyone to respect the safety equipment and help keep the hills open and safe for all.
