CENTRE WELLINGTON – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect from a recent string of thefts at a local gas bar.
On November 17, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a gas theft from a Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Tower Street in Fergus. An unidentified suspect attended the gas bar, filled their vehicle with approximately $50.00 worth of gas and left without paying. Police believe this suspect is the culprit of two other thefts at the same location.
Members of the Wellington County OPP are still investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and the vehicle involved.
Suspect is described as:
- Male
- Caucasian
- Facial hair
- Thin build
Vehicle is described as:
- BMW
- Black
- Bearing license plate “CFDV229” on the front and “CBJH037” on the back
