“We are honoured to be able to support the Centre Wellington community in making a meaningful difference for families in Jamaica.”, said Peter Bush, Teaching Elder (Pastor) of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fergus.
“We’re calling on our neighbours to help us extend compassion and tangible support to those recovering from Hurricane Melissa,” said Millicent Gordon, Chair of the Centre Wellington Black Committee. “Every donation—big or small—helps restore hope and rebuild lives.”
Gordon, who was born in Jamaica, has received firsthand accounts from family and friends describing the devastation.
“The stories are heartbreaking,” she said. “This drive is our way of turning empathy into action and ensuring our Caribbean neighbours know they are not alone.”
