FERGUS – In local PJHL action, the Fergus Whalers hit the road for a couple of games this past weekend.
On Friday, the team travelled to Wingham to take on the Ironmen, with the Whalers prevailing by a score of 7 to 2.
Fergus was led by 2 goal performances by Sam Tanner and Jake Lesser, as well as a solid effort by Trevor Woods in the net.
On Saturday, the Whalers headed to Kincardine to take on the Bulldogs for the fourth time this season, with Kincardine getting the best of the Whalers by a score of 5 to 3.
Liam Eveleigh assisted on all 3 Whaler markers.
The loss ended Fergus’ run of 11 games without a regulation loss.
Next home game for the Whalers is this Sunday, November 30th, at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, when they take on the Kincardine Bulldogs, puck drop is 3 pm.
