NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(HARRISTON, ON) – Members of the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a three-vehicle collision that has resulted in a fatality.
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Wellington County OPP, local fire services, and Emergency Medical Services responded to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and two passenger vehicles on Highway 9 near Anna’s Lane. The circumstances of the collision remains under investigation.
The cyclist, a 39-year-old male was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased. Highway 9 remains closed between Anna’s Lane and Hutchinson Street as the investigation continues.
