OWEN SOUND – Police have charged a fire truck driver following a collision with a school bus and delivery van on Monday.
Just before 12 pm, Owen Sound Police responded to a collision at the intersection of 14th Street West and 2nd Avenue West in Owen Sound.
Police say the collision involved an Owen Sound Fire Truck, a school bus, and a delivery van.
“One student from the school bus and the driver of the fire truck were transported to Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound for minor injuries”, police said in a news release.
Police say the investigation determined that the Fire Truck failed to stop for a red light, striking the school bus and delivery van.
The driver of the fire truck has been charged with red light – fail to stop.
