NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(GUELPH, ON) – A Cambridge driver is charged following a traffic stop in Guelph.
On December 19, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on the Hanlon Parkway, outside of Guelph, when they found a vehicle to be travelling more than 60 Km/h over the posted speed limit.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old from Cambridge, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
- Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted limit
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
A 30-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
