Centre Wellington, ON — The Grand at 101 is excited to announce our new and improved transmitter is now installed.
We are now broadcasting from a telecommunication tower just west of Salem, bringing improved sound quality, stronger coverage, and new digital features to listeners across Centre Wellington, Wellington County, and surrounding areas.
In addition to our new location, we continue to finalize infrastructure enhancements, including the installation of new backup generators. These upgrades will allow us to maintain continuous local broadcasting during power outages, strengthening our role as a reliable source of information during emergency situations.
The new transmitter also introduces HD Radio to The Grand at 101. HD Radio broadcasts deliver crystal-clear digital audio quality, and additional HD2 and HD3 channels allow us to offer new, original programming alongside our main FM signal.
As part of this expansion, we have soft launched Grand Country on HD2, featuring country music from the 90’s to now. Additional details and a formal launch announcement will be shared in the coming weeks.
