Blowing snow and lake effect flurries today.
What: Significantly reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow. Additional local snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm through tonight.
When: Today into tonight.
Additional information: Lake effect flurries combined with gusts to 60 km/h will lead to blowing snow today and this evening. Wind will increase early this morning. The blowing snow will be most pronounced in open and wind exposed areas.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance.
Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
