CENTRE WELLINGTON – Many residents in Centre Wellington woke up early this morning in the dark after a widespread power outage.
Centre Wellington Hydro announced in a post on X at around 4:08 a.m. that crews were responding to a power outage affecting both Fergus and Elora.
CW Hydro said the disruption was caused by a stream-related issue.
Hydro One customers in the area may have also been impacted.
By around 4:30 a.m., Centre Wellington Hydro had confirmed that power had been restored to Elora, and soon after, Fergus had its power restored as well.
Wellington North Power says power has been restored in Arthur, too.
