ERIN – The new Erin Village Branch of Wellington County Library will officially open on February 18.
In a post to social media, the County of Wellington says the historic Erin Grist Mill was purchased in 2022.
“Between 2023 and now, we restored the building, preserving its history while transforming it into a modern library space for today’s community,” the County said in the post.
The County says the new library provides a modern, fully accessible, welcoming space for everyone, framed by the original limestone walls of the mill and beautiful views of Main Street and the West Credit River.
All are welcome to the opening celebration at 135 Daniel Street, Erin. Doors open at 2:00 pm, remarks at 3:00 pm, reception to follow.
