MAPLETON – The County of Wellington will be rehabilitating the Simmons Bridge at the northwest edge of Drayton in the Township of Mapleton from May 25 until late October 2026.
The County says Wellington Street North (WR11) will be closed during construction, with northern traffic detoured via Wellington Rd 7 to Wellington Rd 12.
This work will impact travel through downtown Drayton, access to nearby sports fields, and access to local businesses on both sides of the bridge.
Residents, businesses, and community members are welcome to learn more about the project and ask questions during a Public Information Session.
