GUELPH-ERAMOSA  – An individual is charged following a collision near Rockwood.

On February 22, 2026, at approximately 6:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local paramedic and fire services, responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 44, outside of Rockwood.

One driver and one passenger were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old from Kitchener, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Careless driving

The accused faces a $490 fine and 6 demerit points.
