NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A pedestrian is charged following a collision in Mount Forest.
On February 23, 2026, at approximately 6:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Main Street South in Mount Forest.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 59-year-old from Mount Forest, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Pedestrian fail to use crosswalk
The accused faces a $50 fine.
