WELLINGTON COUNTY – Recently, the Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) announced its 2026 Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
OPWA will be led in 2026 by a six-member Executive Committee and a 14-member Board of Directors, providing a strong mix of public and private sector public works professionals committed to leadership excellence, sector collaboration, and advancing public works
innovation across Ontario.
County Engineer, Don Kudo, has been re-elected to the OPWA Board of Directors for 2026. Mr. Kudo has served on the OPWA Board of Directors since 2017 and served as President in 2022.
“On behalf of County Council, I would like to congratulate Mr. Don Kudo on being re-elected to the OPWA Board of Directors for the 2026 term,” said Warden Chris White. “The OPWA does an excellent job connecting public works practitioners from across Ontario who work collaboratively to find innovative ways to advocate for public works in our communities.”
The OPWA is a not-for-profit organization that works to connect the Public Works Community and promote professional excellence and public awareness through education, advocacy, and the exchange of knowledge regarding public works in Ontario. The OPWA is the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) and the American Public Works Association (APWA) and is the largest Canadian Chapter in the APWA with approximately 500 members.
