Press Release: Township of Wellington North
WELLINGTON NORTH – On Monday, February 23, Wellington North Council approved the 2025 Year in Review publication for release to residents.
The 2025 Year in Review outlines the activities undertaken by the Township in its priority area of delivering core programs and services, as well as the priority areas established by the 2024 Strategic Plan: Shape and support sustainable growth; deliver quality, efficient community services aligned with the Township’s mandate and capacity; and enhance information sharing and participation in decision making.
The initiatives and accomplishments included in this document are the result of many different stakeholders working together to build a strong Wellington North. Throughout 2025, the Township maintained a forward-looking approach, working closely with the

“It’s good to look back and remind ourselves of where we’ve come from and where we’re going. Thank you to staff and all of our partners for their outstanding efforts in delivering the services that make Wellington North a great community to be a part of,” said Mayor Andy Lennox. “The Year in Review is a useful tool for residents to understand what the Township of Wellington North is doing on an annual basis, and I encourage all residents to read the 2025 Year in Review.”
The 2025 Year in Review was developed to share some of the activities that have taken place in the last year, as well as to increase the level of accountability and transparency with the public. Reporting in this fashion is one way that the Township can demonstrate its commitment to providing a high level of service to the community while adding value and using resources responsibly.
