NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in connection to a recent shoplifting incident in Mount Forest.
On February 25, 2026, at approximately 10:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft from Shoppers Drug Mart on Main Street North in Mount Forest.
It was revealed that on February 24, 2026, between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m., two suspects entered the store, concealed nearly $3,000 worth of medicinal products inside their jackets and left the store without attempting to pay.
The Wellington County OPP is investigating this incident and is looking to identify two suspects and a vehicle involved.
Suspect #1 is described as:
- White
- Male
- Approximately 5’8″-5’10” tall
- Wearing black/white toque with pompom, black rimmed glasses, long black puffer jacket, grey shirt, light blue jeans and tan shoes
Suspect #2 is described as:
- White
- Male
- Approximately 5’8″-5’10” tall
- Wearing grey toque with vertical lines, black rimmed glasses, long grey jacket, black quarter zip with white shirt under, grey sneakers with teal laces.
Suspect vehicle is described as:
- White
- 4-door
- Sedan
