Special Weather Statement
In effect for:
- Guelph – Erin – Southern Wellington County
- Arthur – Mount Forest – Northern Wellington County
Potential for significant rainfall this week. The saturated or frozen ground will have little ability to absorb this rainfall.
What: Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas that receive thunderstorms.
When: Beginning Tuesday night and lasting through Wednesday. Where: Most of southern Ontario.
Additional information: A series of low pressure systems will lead to significant rainfall across parts of southern Ontario. Heavy downpours may cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall warnings may be issued for some areas as the event draws nearer.
