WELLINGTON NORTH – Three motor vehicle collision, two occupants injured with minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Driver charged with Carless Driving.
On March 08, 2026, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services were dispatched to a three-motor vehicle collision at the intersection of George Street and Charles Street East within the Town of Arthur, involving two sports utility vehicles (SUV) and a pickup truck.
As a result of the collision, the northbound lane on George Street was closed and two individuals were reported to have sustained the following injuries:
- The driver of a SUV, a 45-year-old of Arthur, sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedic services.
- A passenger of the other SUV, a 62-year-old of Bellwood, was sent to hospital as a precaution with minor, non-life-threating injuries.
George Street was briefly closed as a result of the collision but has since been reopened.
As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old of Port Colborne has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Carless Driving.
