MAPLETON – A Waterloo driver is charged following a traffic stop in Mapleton.
Last night at around 11:45 pm, Wellington County OPP was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Wellington Road 8 near Drayton when they observed a vehicle driving above the posted speed limit.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old from Waterloo is charged with Driving a motor vehicle – perform stunt, Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit, Fail to slow down and proceed with caution for emergency vehicle or tow truck, and Fail to surrender insurance card.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before a Guelph court in July.
A 30-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.
