FERGUS – Wednesday night in local PJHL hockey action, the Fergus Whalers took to the ice for a pivotal game 3 in their best-of-seven playoff series versus the Hanover Barons at the Central Wellington Community Sportsplex.
With the series even at a game apiece, the Whalers prevailed by a score of 4 to 1 to take a 2 to 1 series lead with game 4 to be played Friday evening in Hanover, and game 5 back in Fergus this Sunday at 3 pm
Jake Lessor led the Whaler attack with a pair of markers while goaltender Noah Lundgren was solid in the victory.
