GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Plans are set to replace the artificial turf at a local recreation facility in 2026.
Guelph/Eramosa Council approved moving ahead with the tendering process for the project at the Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre, located on Wellington Road 30 near Marden Park.
The contract has been awarded to Team Rochon Inc./GTR Turf for roughly $484,463.
The replacement follows a September 2024 assessment that concluded the 16-year-old turf had outlived its expected lifespan and should be fully replaced. The project was subsequently included in the township’s 2026 budget.
Funding of $600,000 has been earmarked for the work, with money coming from the RDAPC Building Reserve and the Working Fund Reserve.
