CENTRE WELLINGTON – In partnership with Grandmother’s Voice, the Township of Centre Wellington invites you to a free community event as part of the Two Rows Together Appreciation Series on April 22 at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre – this event will have two sessions, one at 3:30 PM and one at 6:30 PM.
Join Grandmother’s Voice for a special Earth Day gathering. Learn the difference between appropriation and appreciation, reflect on our shared history, and explore how we can walk respectfully with the land, water, and sky. Discover simple actions, community initiatives, and mindset shifts that help preserve and honour the natural world. Listen, reflect, and be inspired this Earth Day!

Overview – Two Rows Together: An Appreciation Series
This session is part of the Township’s broader commitment to learning, reconciliation, and creating inclusive spaces and services. This event is a part of the Two Rows Together: An Appreciation Series that was designed in parallel with creating the Use of Indigenous-Themed Names, Logos and Images within or on Township Properties and Facilities Policy. The series is a part of the Pathway to Respectful Indigenous Representation that the Township is committed to. This is the second event taking place in this series – stay tuned for more dates and learning opportunities.
