Press Release: Wellington County OPP, March 27, 2026.
CENTRE WELLINGTON – On March 27, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an individual attending Centre Wellington District Highschool in Fergus with a firearm.
Police conducted a thorough investigation, located the individual in question and have deemed the report to be unfounded.
Police have cleared the area and believe there is no threat to public safety.
