GUELPH – Guelph Police is investigating after two women were seriously injured when they were struck by a car Friday morning.
Emergency services were called at 9:40 a.m. to the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Kathleen Street.
Police say two women were crossing Speedvale Avenue when they were hit by a car making a left turn.
The women – aged 29 and 35 – were transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with serious injuries. The driver of the car, a 79-year-old Guelph woman, was not physically injured.
Speedvale Avenue was closed for approximately four hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
