NEWS RELEASE CENTRE WELLINGTON HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Centre Wellington, ON — A season defined by growth, teamwork, and community pride came to an exciting close this past weekend, as the Centre Wellington Minor Hockey Association celebrated a strong showing at the local league “Day of Champions.”
The 2025–2026 season began in September with evaluation skates and transitioned into regular season play in October as part of the Dufferin Wellington Local League. Centre Wellington teams competed against neighbouring associations including Orangeville, Erin-Hillsburgh, Grand Valley, and Arthur.
Throughout the season, players developed their skills, built confidence, and formed lasting friendships—representing Centre Wellington with pride both on and off the ice.
Following a competitive regular season and playoffs, the top teams advanced to the highly anticipated “Day of Champions,” hosted by the Orangeville Minor Hockey Association on Saturday, March 28. Centre Wellington teams were well represented, competing with determination and sportsmanship.
A special congratulations goes out to all teams who advanced, and to Centre Wellington Fusion 3, who captured the U18/21 Pool B championship.

The success of Centre Wellington Minor Hockey Association would not be possible without the incredible support of volunteers who dedicate countless hours to organizing games, practices, and events throughout the season. This includes a committed group of coaches and bench staff who played a vital role in shaping the player experience this year.
