GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Rockwood’s main entrances will soon have a fresh new look.
At Monday’s meeting, Guelph/Eramosa Township council approved the design for four new gateway signs after most residents chose the preferred option in a community survey.
The selected design is reflective with a black background, white lettering, and a wooden frame. More than 460 residents supported that option out of over 600 survey responses received.
The project includes two 6×12 signs installed at the Alma Street and Dunbar Street entrances of Highway 7, along with 4×6 gateway signs installed along Wellington Road 27 and Harris Street.
Ward 3 Councillor Steven Liebig said in general, this is a great upgrade to the entrance of Rockwood.
The project is anticipated to cost just under $57,500, including lighting, of the project’s $80,000 budget.
