NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – A Bradford driver has been charged following a traffic stop in Erin.
On May 24, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), was conducting proactive traffic control on Wellington Road 124 in Erin when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old from Bradford, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
- Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
A 30-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
