Kelly Linton is looking to return to politics after stepping away from the previous election.
Linton is once again running for Centre Wellington mayor, a position he has held previously from 2014 to 2022, he was also a township councillor from 2010 to 2014.
He also sat on County council as warden from 2018 to 2022.
In a press release Linton said he will be prioritizing effective communication to ensure residents are always up-to-date on local developments.
This includes a commitment to deliver weekly radio updates, monthly newspaper columns, an active social media presence and regular community sessions.
At the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex on April 28, 2022, ahead of the municipal elections, Linton said “Eight years is long enough, that applied to others, and it applies to me.”
Now, Linton is ready for another round.
“Centre Wellington is a great community with immense potential,” Linton said in the press release, “I’m running for mayor because I know what strong local leadership can achieve and I’m ready to work with residents, Council, and Township staff to put residents first, prioritize our spending, and together build a community we can all be proud to call home.”
