NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
On June 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a five-vehicle collision on Highway 6 in Morriston, involving two transport trucks and three other vehicles. One individual was transported to local hospital with minor injuries.
It is reported that the collision caused a load of dry concrete to spill onto the roadway. Highway 6 in Morriston from Badenoch Street to Leslie Road West is closed in both directions. Wellington County OPP is asking motorists to please avoid the area for the next several hours and use alternate routes while clean-up efforts continue.
The Ministry of Environment has been notified.
