WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County OPP is reminding those affected by last week’s fatal crash in Mapleton Township that help is available.
Five children between the ages of four and 12 died in the collision involving a van and an SUV at Wellington Road 12 and 4th Line on June 12th.
An infant and five adults were also seriously hurt.
Police say they are grateful to members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene and recognize that witnessing such a tragedy can have a lasting impact.
Wellington County OPP spokesperson Carly McKeown says incidents like this are never easy for anyone involved.

Meanwhile, the investigation remains ongoing, and police continue to ask anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact Wellington County OPP.
