CENTRE WELLINGTON – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in connection to a recent shoplifting incident in Fergus.
On June 21, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of theft at a business on St. David Street in Fergus.
It was reported that on June 19, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., two suspects entered the store, concealed approximately $600 worth of merchandise and departed the store without making any attempts to pay. The suspects were observed leaving in a black Ford Expedition.

The Wellington County OPP is investigating this incident and is looking to identify the involved suspects.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Female
- Long black hair
- Wearing a red crop top and jean shorts

Suspect 2 is described as:
- Male
- Wearing a black shirt, black shoes and a black “Callaway” hat,
- Moustache
