Press Release: Wellington County OPP, June 30, 2026.
WELLINGTON COUNTY – Three individuals have been charged with impaired driving recently in Wellington County.
On June 25, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision on Brock Road North in Puslinch Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old from Cambridge, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on August 4, 2026.
Additionally, on June 28, 2026, at approximately 12:45 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP investigated a traffic complaint on Domville Street in Arthur.
As a result of the investigation, a 59-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on August 4, 2026.
Further, on June 28, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint in the area of Bridge Street and York Street East in Elora.
As a result of the investigation, a 57-year-old from Elora, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on August 4, 2026.
The name of the accused is being withheld out of concern for their well-being.
